Digital Citizens

We have been very busy learning about being responsible digital citizens and have begun our planning phase of how we will help our community learn how important it is to be responsible when using technology to communicate. Here are a couple of examples of our thinking so far. We would appreciate your feedback before we start writing our scripts and help us with our final presentations.

Have we missed any important ideas around being a responsible and safe digital citizen?

How could we improve our ideas?

  1. Well done boys, I can see you have some ideas that are important for people to know and understand about being responsible digital citizens. I am not sure what "don't be naughty means though", can you please explain? Remember you are the teachers, so you need to be clear about what you are trying to say.

    1. hi miss t , the boys are doing well, but I don't under stand what don't be naughty means either, but they have done very well . I can explain what a digital citizen means ,it is not someone who just uses internet , it is someone who uses technology . What do you think about the other groups , I think they've done well . I am proud .

    1. hi miss m , your explanation writing is great and I miss you and miss t is teaching us about digital citizenship and I'm enjoying it very much. We did some writing about what a digital citizen is but we can't use bullet points and we have to put in paragraphs and in the right order. Some of us have got to use pages for publishing and I've got heaps of writing .Nice to see you .

    1. well done , Digital citizens be kind to other internet users from around the world and people think they can ask for money and try to be you and strangers can find out where you live , shay , people who posted comments say that there are trillions and trillions of internet users but there would be more than that .This is a whole heap of info about digital citizens.

    2. Digital citizens have to keep their good accounts private and making sure you don't get hacked and being robed ,so I think we could do a poster about digital citizens being private about things like their accounts and username and password ,middle name, date of birth , phone number and where you live.

  8. Digital citizens make sure their passwords are hard so people don't hack into your account.
If people ask immediately tell an adult or someone you can trust and never say yes on the internet

  9. Well done Shanaea, great to see you blogging your learning. Did you mean children need to tell an adult they trust if they come across inappropriate material or someone online is being unkind to them?
